White Otter Minutes for Regular Meeting on 9/4/17

(Draft, pending approval at the October 2 Meeting)
     President Jack
Adams called the meeting to order at 7:27.  The secretary's minutes for July 3
were read and
accepted with one correction regarding cole slaw preparation for the harvest
supper.

Treasurer Lou Azzarito related recent financial activity and the status of our various accounts.
His
         report was accepted.
Under shooting range business, it was reported that the
wire target holders seem to be
working well.  Alan Woodruff stated that he still has two new boxes
         of targets that can be
brought over when they are needed.  Potential ideas for building new benches
         at the range
were discussed.  The desire is to attach them to the shelters to prevent them from
         being
dragged around.  A motion was made, seconded and passed to spend up to $250 to purchase
materials
         for two new range benches.
Fees charged for use of the clubhouse were briefly
         discussed.
A few details regarding the harvest supper on November 4 were mentioned.

A question was raised as to whether the club should take a stand on the current crossbow
controversy
involving the NYS Crossbow Coalition.   Present Adams will discuss this with
Dan Gilmore, who
was unable to attend the meeting.
      A young lady we sponsored
to attend a DEC camp this summer has agreed to attend our
October 2 meeting to thank the club and tell
about her experience.  We hope to have a large
attendance to hear what she has to say.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:22 p.m.  Respectfully submitted,
                                    Alan
         Woodruff, Secretary
